My quilts of the 90's

Below are some of the quilts that I made in the 90's. The many hours of tears, and prayers over these quilts were what kept me sane most days. Also at this time I started a quilting ministry at my church. I met a dear woman who became my confidant, and guiding light as we made quilts for the battered women's shelter.

A twin size quilt I made for Sara's first big girl bed.
Hand pieced and quilted.
My first quilt made. Hand pieced and quilted.

A twin size quilt made for Daniel's bed.
Machine pieced and quilted.

Emily's blanket for Pre-k.  Machine pieced and quilted.

"Mother and son quilt" I made this quilt when I was
struggling to get Daniel diagnosed
and find the right program for him.
I made this quilt for my grandmother who was ill.
She always had flowers in her garden and the majority
of fabrics have flowers on them.

This was huge!!!!!  I think queen size??
It's made from scraps of fabric I used to make the girls
and Daniel's shorts. I hand quilted in the center.

"Beachball"
This quilt reminds me of the
colors on a beachball.
When the kiddos were little,
we'd drive to Naples to go to the beach.
This was Emily's first quilt.
Her room was sponge painted
with sunflower colors.
This was made for Emily when
she decided red was her
favorite color.
